Devotional: Trusting God’s Timing

Scripture: Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens…”

Life often feels like a race, doesn’t it? We’re always moving, always striving, hoping to reach the next milestone. We want things to happen now, and we can grow impatient waiting for God’s plan to unfold. But the truth is, God has a perfect timing for every season in our lives.

In Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, we are reminded that there is a time for everything— a time to be born, a time to die, a time to plant, and a time to uproot. The seasons of life are inevitable, but God is sovereign over them. No matter what season you find yourself in today, God has a purpose for it.

Perhaps you’re in a season of waiting, unsure when things will change. Maybe you’re facing challenges that make you question God’s plan. But take heart—God is never early, never late. His timing is always perfect. Every season, whether joyful or difficult, is an opportunity to draw closer to Him and trust in His wisdom and love.

Reflection:

Take a moment to consider what season you’re in. Are you waiting for something to change? Are you longing for something new? Remember that God’s timing is always for your good. He’s shaping you, refining you, and preparing you for what’s ahead. Trust Him in the waiting. Trust Him in the challenges. Trust that He is in control.

Modern archaeology is not merely a discipline—it’s a miracle science, a tool in God’s hand to reveal the truth about Israel.
